3D Modeling
VR3 uses 'Solidworks' to produce 3D models of tubular
weldments. VR3 can recieve all
solid files that can be
opened with Solidworks (i.e. IGES, STEP, Parasolid, etc). Once a
model is complete, individual
component tube profiles are extracted and a cutting file generated.
Tube profiles can
be generated for tubes in large
assemblies in any 3D spatial geometry with complex clusters or simple
intersections. Tube profile data compensates for the tube wall
thickness to produce cut parts that mate
accurately with adjacent assembly parts.
